FORCE MAJEURE: EPISODE ONE (EXCERPT LOOP)

Excerpted Installation Loop from an Immersive Experience

This piece is an excerpted loop from Force Majeure an ongoing immersive project that transforms meteorological data into haptic, sonic, and visual experiences using real-time systems. Premiering in Zaandam, Netherlands, this installation marks the inaugural prototype of the project, laying the groundwork for a broader investigation into queering data and atmospheric perception.

Utilizing archival wind data from Hurricane Helene, the work digitally reconstructs—and gradually dissolves—a real-world location into dynamic particle systems. Through a combination of data-driven soundscapes, haptic feedback, and visual abstraction, participants are invited to experience the storm’s power and presence as a multisensory, embodied encounter.
